澳大利亚男子驾改装坦克夜闹悉尼

澳大利亚一名男子驾驶改装坦克车深夜闯入悉尼西部近郊地区，破坏6座手机发射塔及1个变电站，与警方追逐90分钟后被捕。 澳大利亚新南威尔士警方表示，警员周六凌晨2时在悉尼西部巡逻，发现一辆私人坦克装甲车正破坏变压站，遂向上级要求增援，并与坦克车展开追逐。 坦克车以时速30公里行驶，其间压倒围栏，撞到多个手机发射站，警方尾随坦克车经过6个近郊城镇，直至坦克车在甸恩公园撞到一个手机发射塔停下，才将司机拘捕，结束90分钟追逐。

Some nutcase chose to use a stolen tank as his method of destroying several cellphone towers around west Sydney recently, as police pursued at low speed--that was all they could do, any car to get in the way would be pushed out of the way without a second thought. The twin cannon was not used. After a ninety minute chase, the tank stalled and the thief was arrested.

Police arrested Patterson and charged him with numerous offences including malicious damage, break, enter and steal, predatory driving, possession of a prohibited drug, use of a weapon to avoid apprehension and driving in a dangerous manner.
